Electronic Heritage as an Element of System Memory of Humankind

Participant:
Grinchenko Sergey

Keywords:
informatics-cybernetic approach, Humankind’s hierarchic self-controlling system, system memory, information factor of Humankind’s evolvement

Thesis:
1. According to informatics-cybernetic presentation on the Humankind’s system evolvement [1-2], last determined by three fundamental factors:
• informational factor, with steps of its sophistication: …signal poses – mime/gestures – language/speech – writing – printing – electronic (computer) means and memory – network (distributed) means and memory – etc.;
• social factor – formation of peoples communities at all of greater areals;
• productive factor – formation infrastructure for such areals, and also creation all thinner of anthropogenic technologies for operating on material structures.
2. Thus, forming today the electronic heritage of Humankind, at a minimum, stands in one alongside with such major its cultural phenomenon, as the printing. Himself initiation of electronic heritage ensues by the phenomenon of the last decades of modernity, already leading on creating of informational array, on its volume – not always in quality – far exceeding the printed array. Just because the process actuality its creation and investigation it's impossible to overestimate (with common to all mankind point of view).
3. The concept the system memory is defined in [1] for hierarchic self-controlling system of living nature as the memory of hierarchical structures, invested in regarded (on principle "nested doll"), about its last adaptive behaviour. In [2] for hierarchic self-controlling system ipseity-social-productive nature the concept extended – through anthropogenic memory, arising as a result of human activity on the formation of “second” nature – system memory was introduced.
4. Thus, the result of one of actual tendencies of current anthropogenic activity just and ensues by the electronic heritage of Humankind – one of elements its extended system memory.
5. Practical inference: the attitude to electronic heritage not as to unproductive minor phenomenon (which some believe, eg., libraries etc.), but as to common to all mankind phenomenon, sometimes directly, and sometimes is mediated [3] determining perspectives of Humankind’s evolvement.
